MOJA EDIT 2
Jambo Rafikis
It's our second Edit, and time is flying by. Summer is officially on its way in the Northern hemisphere while our Kenyan rainy season is coming to an end. The garden is a brilliant green, the house is undergoing some paintwork, and the kitchen is bursting with flavour. Lucinda and I have so much to share, but we've had to prioritise, so here is what matters most right now.
First things first: THANK YOU to all of you who have shared feedback, sent us your stories on paper and online. It means the world to us and is exactly what we are trying to build, a community quietly expanding through word of mouth. 🙏
We are very much looking forward to our next "interval", and what we want to share with you is taking shape more clearly every day.
Do you ever feel that your heart knows something your mind just hasn't found the words for yet?
On my journey to awareness, I learnt that the first organ to know is the heart, then the gut, and only finally, the mind. Most of the time it takes just a few seconds, if that, but for me, bigger ideas, deeper projects, they take much longer. Can you relate?
Anyway, in a few words, your heart, mine, ours, know better and we should listen to it more often!
So, what is it all about?
The Quiet Interval - An Immersive Escape
October 16–22, 2026 · Casa Moja · 7 guests only
This year, we have invited Marcella, a woman we both deeply admire, with an acute intuition and a rare sense of humanity. Marcella uses sound as a tool for transformation, alongside breathwork, body awareness, and empowering mindfulness. She brings an extraordinarily intuitive approach and an exceptional capacity to truly listen to the body. She doesn't change you. She honours the talents already within you, so you can find that place yourself.
From £2,350 all-inclusive (excl. flights) - ONLY a few spaces left
Remember our question about "Out of Africa" stirring something in you?
Well, Casa Moja is heading out on a new adventure!
The Safari Series - An Adventurous Escape
October 24th- November 1st, 2026 - 8 guests only
Together with Indi Bilkhu, Kenya's first female Gold Star guide, whose knowledge, sensitivity, and connection to the land bring a rare depth to time spent in the bush, we are setting off on a tailor-made safari.
Starting in Nairobi, home to the only national park in the world sitting inside a capital city, we visit the Sheldrick Trust's extraordinary elephant orphanage before flying west to the remote reaches of the Maasai Mara, where we spend three nights in a private tented camp. Time to feel the bush. To live and breathe at its rhythm, fully immersed.
Then back to the sound of the Indian Ocean, and Casa Moja, where Rita, our Mombasa facilitator, will take over. After the dust of the safari drives, she will help each guest unwind and reconnect through her signature blend of Pilates and Feldenkrais.
This one is fully booked , but depending on interest, we would love to organise another one next year. 😊
LOVE THIS - Add me to the next one
Lucinda and Pascal have been sharpening their knives, busy playing behind their stations, making the most of all the colour and abundance the season has to offer. Wherever we go, the food comes with us, because eating well is one of the most beautiful ways to immerse yourself in a different culture. And don't we all agree that the best conversations always begin around a delicious meal?
On my end, Casa Moja keeps evolving, and for those of you coming back, we think you'll notice a few things here and there. Opening our home has been more challenging than I anticipated, but welcoming you, to a home away from home, has been a humbling and wonderful experience.
We'll be sharing more of what's new on Instagram, though, as privacy matters deeply to us in a world that never stops watching, we will keep it measured.
A quick note on that wonderful yet sometimes tricky platform: in this new AI world, we are doing our best to share something authentic and honest...Something that sparks curiosity rather than noise; something that feels whole and coherent. But in the meanders of our virtual world, it isn't easy to be seen. So please keep giving us a hand. Sharing our posts to your story for 24 hours widens Casa Moja's horizon, and won't clutter your beautiful IG pages, we promise.
If something resonates, reach out. If something doesn't, tell us, we genuinely want to know. And if this isn't your moment, pass it on to someone you think it might be right for.
This community is a dream of ours.
One that holds a light in the dark.
One that looks after each other. 🧡🩷
