Food at Casa Moja is colourful, generous and full of flavour. Nutritious, beautifully prepared, and always about the pleasure of eating.
Ingredients are sourced close to home, mainly from organic farms and trusted producers around Kenya. Fruit and vegetables in abundance, spices used generously, fresh coconut milk and cream made in the kitchen, and the occasional ingredient brought from further afield when quality demands it.
The table is there to care for the people around it - their tastes, preferences and appetites.
IN THE KITCHEN
Lucinda, known as Loulou, and Pascal bring different instincts to the Casa Moja kitchen.
Loulou creates the menus and holds the kitchen with the ease of a natural host. She is rarely far from it - cooking, baking, making yet another cappuccino, always noticing what might make someone happy, or what little something will take a dish from good to delicious. A talented chef with a beautiful eye, she brings flavour, colour and generosity to the plate, along with a lightness that reaches well beyond the food.
Pascal knows the everyday rhythm of the kitchen intimately - cooking here throughout the year, with an instinct for flavour and spice and a generosity that comes naturally.
Together, they make the table what it is.

Beautiful crockery, hand blown glasses and silver cutlery. Flowers from the garden. Colour on the plates.
Breakfast in the morning light. Lunch that might linger. Dinner under the African sky.
Whatever the hour, the table is generous, considered and entirely at ease.
